Hey, gang! Has this been a crazy week or what? I'm not sure what it is. It's awfully hot here - 107 just yesterday. We'd better not complain though. Have you seen all that's been happening in Colorado? So sad. My heart goes out to everyone there facing tragedy. Here are some awesome things you need to check out:
1. Pan de Libros. I'll write more about this later, but for now go check it out. It's a project my sister in-law is working on to bring books to a community in Anapra, Mexico.
2. Have you seen this new series from the children of Design Mom called Olive Us? They are little internet videos and they are so cute. I need to make their tzatziki recipe soon!
3. I write a bi-weekly blog for the Columbia Tribune. I have a new post up today about Memories of Food. I'd love for you to take a look!
4. Need a yummy recipe for the weekend? We made these easy calzones a couple days ago. They were delish! (Also, a sneaky way to get more veggies into your kiddo's tum.)
5. Have you seen the trailer for Gatsby? Oh my goodness, it looks so good. And Leo!
6. Some of you asked what those cookie/biscuit things were I made for Phil on Father's Day. They are Buttermilk Bacon Biscuits with a maple glaze. OH. MY. GOSH. Go make them right now. Or for breakfast in the morning. They are amazing.
7. If you have a second today, could you vote for us? We're falling behind! Thanks so much!
8. It's not too late to complete the June Challenge. I'm excited to hear how it goes for you!
9. If you have an hour to spare, make sure you read THIS article. It is amazing. She makes so many good points. I really think everyone needs to read it - men and women both!
10. Are we friends on Facebook? We should be! It's a great way to get to know each other, too. Head over and give us a like so we can stay in touch!
11. Last, but certainly not least: Phil was featured several times in the local news this week about his work for World Refugee Day. He organized the entire day and it was really amazing. We are so proud of him. Be sure to check out this article and tell him congrats on a job well done!
Well folks, I hope you have a marvelous weekend. What are your plans? It's so hot here, not sure we'll be doing any outdoor adventures. Oh, and hey - if you blog, leave a comment below! I'd love to check out your stuff and add you to my blogroll!
