This post is a week late. Sorry for being tardy!
You are now five months old. You have changed SO MUCH in the past few weeks. You have a deep belly laugh, which only comes when we're working really hard at being funny. You grab your toes all the time, and sometimes you'll even suck on them, too! You really don't like your pacifier, so much that we've stopped offering it. Instead, you have learned to suck your little tiny thumb. You have funny hair that sticks up and goes crazy, even a few long pieces that hang down on the sides and tuck behind your ears. Your eyes are still the deepest, brightest blue. Even strangers comment on how wonderful they are. You still look like your mama. Everyone thinks so. (And this makes me so happy!) You adore your sister. You love to watch her laugh and dance and play. You have started sleeping a little bit better by going for an 6 or 7-hour stretch. The only problem is that you like to go down early, so this mama always has an early morning wake-up call. You're doing better at tummy-time by pulling your legs up underneath you. So far, I don't see any signs of early crawling or walking, but that's completely fine with me. You take your sweet time. Like every new mama, I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Some appreciate the pace of the first few months, but I'm already missing those early days. I can't wait to see you continue to grow and change and become the little person you are. You are wonderful!
