Music to Build a Life On: Round 7

I think I've only recently discovered my favorite kind of music. I grew up on oldies and soft rock and Celine Dion and Barbara. In high school I favorited bands like Superchick and Avril Lavine. (Embarrassing, I know.) In college, I finally started listening to decent music. And in the past couple of years, I found my favorite kind. Now, I'm still Beyonce's biggest fan, but the likes of Mumford and Sons and The Civil Wars have won me over. I'm thrilled that more and more groups are starting to make music like this. I'm not sure what it's called exactly. Folky, sorta like bluegrass but not lame and twangy, Americana, belt it out and harmonize and make sweet sounds... That's my favorite kind. :) Anyway, today I want to share a few of my favorite songs in this genre. Some of these groups I've shared here before, but they're just too good, ya know?

First up is Flowers In Your Hair by The Lumineers...

Next is the newest song from Mumford and Sons, I Will Wait. They have a new album coming out in September! :)

I just love this group, too. This is Hang Loose by Alabama Shakes.

These guys rock my world every day. :) AND, Phil just surprised me with tickets to see them in a few weeks! I can't wait. This is Rivers and Roads by The Head and the Heart.

And last, my favorite of all favorites, The Civil Wars. This is a cover of Between the Bars. It's exquisite.

So, tell me, what folky-Americana-belt it out-harmonizing music am I missing out on?
