For the year 2012, I am going to challenge you to ONE thing each month - something new to try, a tradition to create with your family, a way to simplify your life, an outing to take, a project to work on, a sweet memory to make, etc. All of the challenges will fit our theme of Living on Love - really living in a way that makes life meaningful, day in and day out.
The August Challenge: Be Thankful!!!
Why? Complaining is so darn infectious. I feel like 90% of tweets and facebook status updates are complaints. From how hot it is outside to the goings on of a bad day, we can all agree that the grass is always greener. But, we also need to stop and remind ourselves that things could always be worse. Even when things are bad and times are hard, there are things to be thankful for. Most of us here have a roof over our heads, running water, and food to eat, while many in our world go without those necessities each day.
Feel free to invite your friends to join in on the challenge as well. Go ahead and grab the challenge button on my right sidebar and add it to your post or to your site. Let's make thankfulness infectious!

The Deets: Sometime between now and August 30, think about what you are thankful for. What's carrying you through? Even if times are rough, what is saving you day in and day out? Then, write a blog post about it. You may choose to write about one thing, or you may choose to make a list of everything you're thankful for - it's up to you. When you post, make sure to link up here. If you don't blog, go ahead and share what you are thankful for in the comments section below! Then, broadcast it on facebook, tweet about it (#livingonlove), and spread the word!
