Our Weekend, in Photographs...

First off, every new mom should know that these things (exhibited below) DO happen but ONLY happen when it is least convenient. (I.e. on vacation, out of town, in the parking lot of a shopping mall, etc.) Little Ingrid has been known for these kinds of behaviors. Luckily, she wasn't on my lap this time around. :) Anyway...
This weekend was a fun one. Back in June or July I entered this little giveaway for a family getaway on Facebook. I NEVER do that, but I did for whatever reason. Anyway, I ended up winning! And I NEVER WIN! So, this was our weekend for our little getaway to St. Louis...
We won a one-night's stay at the Cheshire Inn in St. Louis. It's an awesome old hotel that has recently been revamped. It's all British-themed, so the decor and architecture was pretty awesome. Well, part of our prize was adjoining rooms. We had a king bed in one room and Addie was next door. How hilarious is this picture of her with her crown on? (By the way, the hotel is super kid-friendly. Every kid gets a taste of royalty while they stay.)
While the kiddos napped, Phil went and grabbed some hot pastrami sandwiches from Carl's Deli, a recommendation from my bro. OH MY GOSH. I'm not even sure I know what pastrami is, but it is fantastic. You should try some.
Oh, and these little babies are fantastic, too. The Billy Goat Chip Company is a local business and their chips are awesome.
Check out that hair! She looks like she has a fake mustache taped to the back of her head. Looking good, Iggy Pop. Looking good!
Here are a few pictures of the hotel. Like I mentioned, everything is British-themed. Pretty cool. Each room is named by a famous British author, poet, or playright. We stayed in the Percey Shelly room. Addie was in Mary Shelly's room. AH, Frankenstein! Here's the queen, rockin' some Warhol.
After our stay, we ventured to the zoo. It was a beautiful day for it and the rest of St. Louis thought so too. It was SO BUSY. We had an awesome time, though. We finally got to see the new underwater sea lion walk-through thing. It was pretty tight..

Why yes, that's me and my kid on the BENCH on the carousel. (And I thought the stationary animals were lame.) Poor Addie was scared to death so we just rode that thang out like we were 65 and loving it.
So there you have it! Our weekend, in too many photos. What about you? What did you do this weekend?
