It has been over two months since I have done a music post! ACK! So sorry, friends. This time, I have so many wonderful things to share. We had the awesome pleasure of seeing TWO great bands last week - The Head and the Heart and Ingrid Michaelson. Both shows were incredible. As most music-obsessed-concert-goers do, I came home and googled new songs and videos from both and ended up finding some great stuff. So great, that I'll have to save some of it for another post in the future. Here are a few of my favorites...
This video is great, but doesn't do this song justice. When they performed this at the show, I got chills! I think it might be the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. The live version was really slow and stripped down. This is good too, though:
I stumbled upon this fantastic series called the Doe Bay Sessions. There are lots of videos on youtube. I love this one! Especially the creative percussion and the background voices. Make sure you listen to the second song. It starts around 3:20.
Bryan John Applebee opened up for The Head and the Heart. They, too, were amazing. Again, much better live. This is a cool video though!
Lastly is this fun video from Ingrid Michaelson. By the way, she is HILARIOUS! I laughed so much at her show. I just know we'd be great friends. (Ingrid, great name by the way!)
Like I said, I have more great music to share with you soon! (Including some new Mumford & Sons and a beautiful song from Florence & the Machine!)
