A Quaint & Cozy Nursery for Baby Girl

Well friends, I changed my mind about Baby #3’s nursery. I was going to go with the black, white, & coral cloud theme, but the more I kept looking at it, the more I felt it just wasn’t “us.” Does that make sense? While I still love the theme, I think it’s a bit too modern for our taste. The more Phil and I talked about it, the more we discovered we both envisioned a cozy, warm room for our newest little love. Soft pastels and touches of vintage… much more our style. After a bit of perusing and looking over my Pinterest boards, I finally came up with what I think it just the sweetest and softest nursery you ever did see. (And to be honest, I can’t believe that I included so much pink!) Here’s what we are thinking…

I’ve mentioned before that we are renting our farm house, so we can’t do any painting. We’ll be using Ingrid’s vintage crib and my sister in-law has already started working on a dresser/changing table that she is going to paint that lovely light pink color. (Ignore the Bambi-style deer. Not my style!) I ordered the sweetest bamboo farm animal mobile from Petit Collage. I love the Pear print, as well as the “Bushel and a Peck” one (though I can’t find where to buy!) not to mention the DIYed dipped stick to hang things on, or the cute yarn pom pom garland.

The cute minty pillow is from Urban Outfitters and the fabric choices are all Liberty of London. I am dying at how expensive they are, but they are beautiful. We’ll use these to recover the rocking chair, to make curtains, and for a bed skirt. That cloud pillow doll is just about the sweetest thing ever and on my list to purchase from Etsy! I also love the sweet little lamb bookshelf (could I DIY?) and the natural jute baskets for toys and blankets.

Rugs, I can’t decide. The room has carpet but a rug would still be cute. The pink striped one is from Rugs USA and the faux sheepskin is Ikea. The vintage floral rug is from Urban Outfitters, as well as the Flokati shag one. I’ll probably just pick one of these to use in front of the crib or rocker. (Or maybe she needs the sheepskin as a playmat?)

Anyway, right now the room is completely empty! I posted a few pictures on Instagram earlier this week, so make sure to check them out. (@lacystroess) Can’t wait to put it together and show you the process along the way!
