A Bunny Birthday Brunch

Last week, our little sweetums turned ONE! To celebrate her very first year, we threw her a bunny brunch and invited all our family and friends! It was such a fun party to throw. I hope you enjoy…

The Brunch Menu:
Bunny Cookies (These sugar cookies and this icing.)
Donut Tree (A foam cone, wrapped in tissue. Donuts on the tree with toothpicks.)
Bacon-Wrapped Dates (My mom’s fabulous recipe!)
Happy Yogurt (Vanilla yogurt with pink sprinkles. Thanks Baskin Robbins for the spoons!)
Pink Berries (Pink chocolate covered strawberries.)
Mini Quiche (3 varieties – all of my mom’s recipes.)
Fruit Salad (Blackberries, blueberries, honeydew, and mint.)
Blueberry Scones (Again, my mama’s recipe.)
Brunch Punch (Pineapple juice, OJ, ginger ale, and frozen strawberries.)
The Details:

DIY Tissue Garland (Bought my tissue here. Used this tutorial to make the garland.)
Floral¬†Arrangements¬†(I bought 4 different bouquets and put them together in some milk glass vases I’ve collected. The green moss bunnies are from Pier 1.)
Punch Bottles (Old Starbucks frappuccino bottles, tied with baker’s twine and kraft paper charms. Cute striped paper straws from here.)
Kids’ Table (See below! Lined with kraft paper so kiddos could color with chalk.)
Bunny Tails (Party favors for the kids! Jumbo marshmallows in treat bags.)
Ruffle Cake (Made by yours truly. It’s white cake with a raspberry filling. I used this Swiss meringue buttercream recipe and this tutorial to help me ice the cake.)
Ingrid was so sweet. As soon as everyone started singing “Happy Birthday” she got the biggest grin on her face and knew it was all for her! Also, she was not timid with the cake. :) Evidence below:
I did the invitations myself, using kraft paper cards and envelopes. I made a stamp with a wood block and some craft foam to create the embossed bunny face on the front. Aren’t they cute?!

It was SUCH a fun day! Thank you to all our family and friends who made Ingrid feel special!

xoxo
