Can you smell it? Is Christmas wafting through your home? If not, it’s probably because you don’t have these amazing orange pomander balls lurking among your fresh greenery. These are easy and affordable to make with or without the help of a toddler. All you need: oranges, cloves, and string!
To make the pomanders, simply tie string (I used baker’s twine!) around an orange like a present. Next, push the cloves into the orange. If you want to use a toothpick to make a little hole, go for it. Keep doing this until you have the design you want. See my monogram one below? A fun gift for a neighbor or your kiddo’s teacher! When you are finished, place the orange anywhere that needs to smell like the holidays! Best of all? These babies don’t rot! Apparently, there’s something in the cloves that keeps them nice. They will dry out, of course, but they’ll smell lovely for a long time!
Perfect for a front door wreath accessory (left) or in a pot of fresh greenery atop your commode (right)
